Good Week with the Family

It has been a really good week with our family. Last week I traveled a bit and we had a lot to do, many meetings, people coming over, I was gone Tues and Wed, Kara had evening activities as well as I. This past week was a little calmer and more enjoyable. The kids have been better behaved, playing well together, being more respectful and helpful, it has been nice to see.

I am grateful for more relaxed weeks in ministry, I feel like I do better and am more attentive to the needs of my wife and family. I am able to spend more time with my male friends, be encouraged by them. When I am rested and have more appropriate scheduling boundaries, I find that I am healthier in those relationships, and I am able to find ways to care for them and serve them, whether it is Kara, the kids, or my peers.
