Dead Bunny
Here I am enjoying my last cup of coffee before I head out, it was a little too chilly earlier to be working in the mud, 34 degrees… it is about 38 now and sunny and I’ll head out soon to get all that stuff done.
On the way back from the hardware store I decided to pick up the dead bunny in the street. Someone hit it this week and it’s been sitting in the middle of the road oozing. So, I took my spade and tossed it into the high meadow area around our retention pond. Gross.
As a matter of good news, I think it was the same bunny that was trying to nest in my yard already this spring to lay the little bunnies. I am a little grateful then, that someone was able to swerve just right to pick him off. I have also seen some hawks in the area the past couple of days circling the the high grasses. Hopefully they’ll be able to eat well this spring too so my plants can survive this spring and summer!
